Red top radish salad



They add another dimension of color, crisp and flavor to salads. Cut them fine with cucumber, some green onion and sprinkle rock salt, black pepper, roasted cumin powder and a dash of lime juice. And you have a great side to go with lentils, vegetables and bread.

Like other members of the cruciferous family (cabbage, kale, broccoli, brussel sprouts) radish contain cancer protection properties. They are also a good source of Vitamin C and calcium. Vitamin C is required for healthy skin, joints and strong bones, also for the body's immune system. Radish is also especially beneficial for the liver and gall bladder, regulating bile flow and detoxifing the blood.
